Question new poster with a 1953 deluxe 88

I am trying to find a rear transmission seal for a 53 deluxe 88 with a manual transmission. I have seen 15041 listed for this model but it does not have a step in it to fit in the tailshaft.

The seal is a 15041 which i have picked up at napa and it does not fit. I believe the transmission is a olds selector shift. It does not have a side cover. It has a top cover with six bolts. Thanks for your help coldwar

Success

Thanks for your help Coldwar. I found the seal yesterday at a local autoparts store and it was the Victor seal 49325. The parts guy was able to look it up and had it in stock. I saw your post today and the pics and information were right on the money. I got home from work last night and installed the seal, tranny and driveshaft back in the car and went for a test drive. Everything worked great. Thanks again.
