68 Delmont 88 Convertible from NC
Hey Ya'll! My dad just shipped me his 68 Olds Delmont 88 which he and the family has had since 1969; 455 2bbl, 126k miles - all power accessories. It pretty much has all of the available options at the time for this model. Ran out of storage space. Still going after 44 years. Was his daily driver until 1985. Since then it has mostly been parked in a garage under a car cover. Pretty good shape, has some replacements due to a few car accidents a couple of decades ago.
Olds must have has excellent engineers and designer. Beautiful car - white on white car with the very rare 15" center hub-caps. Although a huge car, with its rounded styling, it still fits in nicely with today's times. Especially now that some of the retro cars made a comeback like Camaro, Challenger, etc.
Replaced the fuel, air, and oil filters, breather filter/pcv valve, a few vacuum hoses, and plugs and she purrs like a kitten at idle and spins, yes spins the tires when punching the gas pedal (and the tires are new). The power on this thing is unbelievable.
We'll, excited to join the Oldsmobile Family! I'm proud to be part of the American tradition! I am so excited about the car. I am just a concerned about the available of body parts when needed (knock on wood that I don't).
