NOS CB-23 All Channel Receivers

Price dropped. Vintage Citizens Band Recievers, NOS. These units connect to your AM radio and switch between AM band and CB band. These are new in the box and some still have the original price sticker on the box. Allows you to listen to the CB channels. Made in the USA. I can send additional photos if you'd like. $15 each plus shipping. I have 8 of these. Could be a period correct piece for a mid to late 70's early 80 car... Thanks for looking!

Yeah and it's funny because there is a sheet in the box which explains all of the CB "lingo". Great stuff. This is just basically a listening device- you can't talk into it, but a fun little thing!

Yeah and technically operating a 23 channel radio is not legal because it doesn't conform to current FCC rules. That's not to say that you would ever get into trouble by operating one, but it is what it is.

That's for transmitters.

This is just a receiver.

I think it was more to do with the manufacture of them and selling them after a certain date. I do not believe they are illegal to use. You can even sell them as long as they were made before that date. I am sure none of it would be enforced now though. My grandfather was big into them and he told me years ago that CB radios were growing so fast that they had to open up the range to accommodate more people and that was when they went to 40 channel.
