In need of some advise and guidence
Hello all, I am relatively new to the classic car world.
I bought a 1970 cutlass 4 door hardtop 350 rocket 4 barrel (58,000 miles) about a year an a half ago and it has ran very smoothly (pig on gas but that's to be expected).
The starter has finally kicked the bucket and I was wondering weather or not to rebuild it or to buy another one? On that note I decided to rip off the Rochester carb and rebuild it, now I picked up a kit from Napa and a few cans of carb cleaner.
after a few tries the carb was back together except one small O-ring (1/4")
if any of you know where this might go please let me know!!
I did take pictures before I ripped it off but the vacuum hoses not in the right places prior to the rebuild.
So what I'm asking in short.
which is better Rebuild the starter or buy a new one?
where would my little 1/4" O-ring go?
and does anyone have a clear vacuum line diagram for the lines Im replacing?
Pictures to follow.
Thank you in advanced guys.
