The latest 68

thought i'd share a couple pics of the 68 442 we're currently working on. it's getting close. i got the front end sheetmetal painted last friday. still have to spray the insides of the fenders and the w-36 stripes before the stuff can go on. it won't be long to completion after that.

That's going to be a neat car! Nothing better than a '68.....unless it's a '69, or a '70, or a '67, or a '66, or a.............AN OLDSMOBILE!

being as though we but a toronado motor in a 68, we kinda felt like painting it like a 68 hurst. no other reason than that.

the headers are hedman. the color is amber gold. it's a modern color. i can't think of the code right now off the top of my head.

the gold is dupont chromabase base/clear, and i used dupont chromapremier s.s. to do the stripes.

God help, that is a beautiful car. Ya know what would really set it off? a set of repro Hurst wheels. Shame those are so expensive. Looks real nice with those period correct Cragars too.

Take me back to 1968!

Did you keep th e starter on the right-hand side?
Toro motor have the starters on the right, rear-drive Oldsmos had the stater on the left.
