68 Cutlass Power Window Help

I had a shop install the wiring for my OEM power windows. Windows didn't work so I decided to remove the motors and re lube them. When I did the big assist spring on the regulator fell off and I cant figure out how to reinstall it. Driver (LH) side on the top of the tab or the bottom???
I cant find a picture or any other help, so here is where all the smart folks are.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanx, Howie

I did this too and think I put them on backwards so now have to help the windows get up all the time. I know I need to disassemble the door panel to check and just have not had the desire to do so. Once the top is down (convertible) for the summer it pretty much stays down and so does the windows. So interested to see who helps on this.

Well, a simple not necessarily easy fix would be to flip them over and reinstall. I am not finding any pics that I can even use. Good luck, Howie

If you are removing the motor from the regulator you must put a bolt through the two sections to keep them from collapsing BEFORE you remove the motor. If there are no obvious holes for the bolt then you must drill them yourself. The first time I tried to remove a power window set-up I almost amputated my poor finger!!
