Repop door hinges

Hey guys:
I planned to buy the pin & bushing kits to rebuild my door hinges, but my lower hinges are rusted beyond repair. The pin that holds the detent springs has rusted away and the springs are missing as well. I see several suppliers repop the door hinges for around $60-$70 bucks.
1. Are the repop hinges any good?
2. Which vendor sells the best parts?
3. Some vendors state their parts are stamped from new tooling. Is there are truth to that statement or just marketing BS?
4. Should I look for some good used ones and install the bushing kits?

Thanks!

I have no experience with new hinges but have plenty of good used ones if you want to go that route.

I bought a repop set and wasn't pleased, so went back to the originals. The hold open lever is made differently - there's no intermediate position and it doesn't hold very well at the full open position. Something else was wrong, but it's been too long.

When rebuilding originals, remember to oil the hold open lever mount. It'll squeak and will likely be loose from age - no replacements. No usability problems with that being loose, other than it'll squeak. Took me way too long to realize that was the problem.

Bought a full new set for my 66 Cutlass from Fusick, no problems, they worked great. Hope this helps.
Thanks, Ron

Ron:
Thanks for the feedback. I think 66-67 hinges are different than 68-72. Has anybody out there had good luck with repop 68-72 hinges?
