70 Convertible
After being unhappy with the paint job a local shop did I decided to redo it. Originally a Burgandy Mist/Black top car I wanted it Twilight blue but it did not come out well. Now redoing it myself it I decided to go with Viking Blue. I started a few weeks ago and I'll post pictures along the way

Nice! I'm excited to see this 70 finished in Viking Blue. Im going with Viking Blue with Black top, interior and stripes. I did a color test run on 1/2 the hood

Nice work on the body and paint. Looks very straight. What brand OAI hood did you buy? Seems like everyone wants one of them on their cars now. Pretty soon the cars with the straight metal hoods will be the rare and sought after ones
It will look great with the black top.
Is this a real 442 or is it a CS vert dressed to look like a 442? The 350 engine in the pic suggests the latter.

This one was born a CS 350 4 speed car. The 350, 4 speed and Olds 12 bolt will be saved in case I ever want to go back. It will soon have BBO, LGT700 5 speed and 3.73 Chevrolet 12 bolt. I don't have the heart to beat on a real 442.

Very nice work, and sounds like you're going to have a beast to drive! Are you changing out the rear end? With that kind of a torque monster I'd consider putting in a posi and short gears. If it's a stock 70 with an M21, is it by chance a 3.42:1 rear?
