Progress on my '68 442 Convertible

Finally after longer than originally anticipated some progress has been made on my '68 442. Like most cars that have spent their entire lives in western PA mine had and still has major rust issues. The cowl was completely rusted out under the windshield and the floor had more holes than Swiss cheese. The cowl was completely removed and replaced by a quality original piece that was found online. The floor was repaired with both aftermarket patch panels for the front and smaller fabricated patch panels for the rear foot wells. The aftermarket patch panels used were the ones made in the USA. They do require a little more prep but I prefer the heavier gauge metal when welding them in place. In retrospect it probably would have been faster to replace the entire floor with a one piece aftermarket floor but as they say hind sight is 20/20. So now it is onto the trunk floor and rear quarter panels.
