If you had never done this before, I would farm this job out. I would think somewhere in LA there is a shop that can do this quite inexpensively and make it look original. Look at the roof for rust before the new top is put on.

Farm = a shop to do it. The definition of "lots" it is in direct proportion to cost and how much of the rust repair you can do yourself, "lots" = lots of money just for the rust repair. Figure $1k over the cost of mat'ls to install the vinyl roof only and then what the rust repair would be.

so they would have to make the top for me or can I use a 72 impala hardtop vinyl top?
