68 W-46 engine revival..... :-)
After a 15 year rest I FINALLY got the original engine to my H/O back where it belongs...The car is once again sporting its original block, heads, intake/exhaust manifolds, breather, distributer, OW t400 trans etc. I was lucky enough to locate an original alternator, starter and carb.
It is not 110% correct but it is not far off.....cannot wait to get it back on the road....

Beautiful.
I have heard discussion lately that '68 with OAI requires the short 90 degree adapter at the air cleaner snout as you show, PN 399465.
When one also has AC, as you show, there is a clearance issue between the 399465 and the AC bracket, which as the story goes the factory resolved by hammering dents into the bottom of the 399465 adapter. Can you verify that this is what you found... or reproduced?
So, don't throw out dented OAI parts just 'cause they are dented.... might be factory issue!

Yes, it looks to me like the adapter has been spending too much time at the Local Trump rally...... That is exactly how it was when I got it. Looks like they just contoured it with the BFH
to fit over the A/C bracket.
