$600 1986 442
Here are some pics of the 86 442 me and my buddy purchased for $600. What cant be seen in these photos are the thick enamel paint that was applied over scratches, dents, sanding marks and Bondo(which is cracked in many places). It has a rebuilt 307, which is partially assembled. The trans is gone, but otherwise the car is complete. We are going to restify the car with a mildly built 350/350. We hope to have it on the road by next summer. I have a new camera phone so I am getting used to it still, so please excuse any poor photos!

Looks like a good project for the money. A 72 or older 350 would work great, and could be even adapted to the computer, should you decide to keep it in there.
Rally pac is a plus. Oldsgmail.com has a lot of good tech pages about these cars to help you out more even.
Looks like you have a lot to do in just a year, so shift into OD!!

The 350 we are using is out of a 69 Cutlass. The smog crap is out as it will be licensed out of state. Lots of work, yes. But it will be fun. There is no definite time table, next summer is our target though.

I offered this guy 800$ back in may when he first put it up on craigs and just had best offer on there. he laughed in my face and told me i must not know what a 442 is and hung up on me. when i saw he posted it for 700$ i wanted to call him again but decided not to. from what i got from him is the 307 was bad and the 200r4 was missing, and it was wrecked. but i think u got a really good deal these pics look alot better then the once he posted. congrats.

Yes, ths is the car that was on CL. I think he finally just gave up because it was on CL for quite a while. The 307 has been rebuilt and partially reassembled(longblock). He told us some guy offered $300, and he told the guy he would crush it first. I think we got a pretty good deal because it is complete minus trans. Mostly DIRTY! We plan on having the body media blasted followed by being straightened and painted. I wish we could do frame off, but we haven't the time, place or money for that. We o need to find a number of plastic interior parts and a hood and left fender. We already have a right fender. We must have taken a good 20 pounds of copper stereo wiring and 13 speakers out of the car. They had a very expensive setup at one time.btw, we did a lot of cleaning before posting these pics.
