Very nice! I have to give you credit. I'm building a 55 88 custom. I can't imagine the cost and difficulty actually "restoring" one of these cars. What few parts are available, are so expensive.

Hopefully, your car was pretty nice when you started.

Ebay becomes your evil friend. You can find parts you would never find but they are not cheap. This stuff is not reproduced like Tri-5 Chevy and Camaro stuff. That is going to be a really nice car.

I found it in a barn 3 years ago and will repost those pics when I can. The cloth interior is fine and I have been picking away at leaks and fuel issues. still using the same carb. that has not been disassembled. 3500 miles of fun so far. Cannot wait to put the body back together with new flat glass and seals. I have to paint the engine compartment because it looks so shabby next to the new paint. The block is going to become the same color as the dark green loaded with clearcoat. There goes the next two years vacation funding.

Mark, there are a lot of guys here with mid 50's to help and to learn from your experiences as well.

If you need to get the carb rebuilt, remember Hobb's Carburetors over in Pelham NH. He is a legend in New England.

Thank you for the information. I have been restoring 50's cars for over 30 years so carbs are no issue to me.. Probably rebuilt over 100. my point was that the car sat for 39 years in an unlit and unheated barn and the untouched carb is working almost perfectly with the exception of some gasket seepage. I've had a rebuild kit for over a year just have not needed it. I am trying to figure out how to transfer some barn shots.
