product review-fabric and vinyl dye (Rustoleum)
Cleaned and painted the kick panels on a 1965 Cutlass this weekend. The carpet had '45 year' fade and the plastic would just never look clean or dark.
These turned out decent. This car is a driver so I was happy with the cost (I think 6$ a can). I will also do the carpet on the door panels and the console. I don't know if I would use it on a large flat area like a door panel.

Looks great for a $6 kick panel resto for a driver!
How is the durability?
With any paint or dyes, surface prep is key to the end result. Even the $50/pint interior paint I got would not stick when the surface is not prepped right.
I have been pretty happy with rustoleum. One thing to remember is that the paints do not "cure" in 24 hrs as often stated on the can. One week is more realistic.
