68 442 Seat Back Retaining Clips
Hi,
Had my 442 for a few years now, slowly getting the interior back together. What I thought would be easiest is ending up being quite the treasure hunt. I am looking for the clips that go on the top back of the front bucket seats that hold the seat back on. They are labeled "back panel retainers" in the Fisher body manual (pic attached). Anyone who knows where to find them or how to make a good substitute I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi- that picture is of a 1966 & 1967 bucket seat headrest retrofit kit. The back panel attaching clips/brackets are unique to 66 & 67
1968 has a 1 year only bracket, then 1969-1972 has a similar bracket to 68, but its welded onto the frame.
For 68, Its really just a simple piece of steel curved into a "C" shape. You can easily make one out of a piece of mild steel. I have some photos showing closeups of them somewhere (in case i ever had to make them). I'll look this evening when I'm home and post them.
BTW, welcome to Classic Olds!
