1970 gold interior paint

Anyone know where to find this color for the interior metal pieces as well as the plastic? SEM may have the one for plastic but i have to get a swatch to compare. Not sure what the actual gold"ish" color the metal is but its a bit darker than the dash kick panels etc, maybe just faded. Is the same interior as this car. https://www.hotrod.com/articles/gorg...0-basket-case/

Also does the cowl tag indicate the interior metal color? If so I cant figure out which number. Is it common for a cowl tag to not include all installed options? This car has the B85 option and the rear defroster fan on the package tray but the cowl tag doesn't indicate them. doesn't seem likely that these things would be installed after purchasing the car so the accuracy of the cowl tag is in doubt.

thanks

The cowl tag does not show all of the options; that would be on the build sheet. There are way too many possible options for them to fit onto the tiny tag on the cowl.

Below is a pic of the build sheet from my 1970 Cutlass Supreme. The items without an asterisk are options on top of the standard Supreme equipment (which could be options on other Cutlass models). As you can see, there's no way all of that would fit onto the cowl tag.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense now that I think about it. Something that doesn't make as much sense is the logic built into the search engine of this forum. So I start this thread because I couldn't find any questions regarding gold paint. Now I go to reply to this answer and voila I see three "related" topics below. Not sure if there are some tricks for using the search feature, maybe there's a thread for that too...... If I could find it lol

This might help... from the great site autocolorlibrary.com. Info on both sides of the paint chip page. While it won't cover every item, you can get most things covered. Dave

Here's what my painter came up with. He used these two colors and added flattening agent to get the right sheen. I'll post some pics of my interior

Lighting is not the best in these pics. I'm very satisfied with the colors and sheen of the different golds.

Very well optioned Cutlass. Must be some highway cruiser with the 2.56 posi rear axle. See it came with the rare P05 trim ring option and standard lug covers. Surprise no FE-2 suspension optioned. What is the Y-68 option regarding the color? PK5 option shows black wall tires but the description show white letter, or am I misreading it?
