I am installing a dual gate and console in my 71 cutlass. I have found a lot of great info and measurements on this site. I can not find anything specific to the front console mount. I have aftermarket brackets from the parts place. Where specifically on the console does it mount to the bracket? I want to put the bracket on the console and position the console on the shifter so I can locate the mount on the floor pan. Does the bracket mount flat side to the floor with the curved parts facing up? Thanks in advance for any help.

Not to be a smarta$$ , but if I were you I would get a hold of an assembly manual , the info you need is in there. I added a console with a dual gate to my '72 and that is where I got my info for the install.

Good idea! Funny how this sight comes to mind when I need info rather than the first stop being open the book, I have an assembly manual.
