Will a '70? Toro Pwr seat base work for '70 Cutlass ?
Long time gone here, but stumbled on a part tucked away forgotten. At one point I was holding '70- '72 utlass parts for my cars, and must have thought this could be useful, maybe just for parts ?? This base is marked (by me) '69 - '70 Toro, and is a power bucket seat base. I never really looked at it closely, and was surprised to see it uses a belt drive! haven't powered it to see if it still works.
The question for you guys in the know is this: Is a Toro bucket seat base interchangeable with a Cutlass bucket seat base? If not, are parts on it useful as replacement Cutlass seat parts? I would expect at least the motor and switch might be. Anyhow, any info on this would be appreciated!

what are you calling the base?
the seat tracks? if so, no its a 6 way and a-bodys are 4 way, and the tracks are completely diff where they attach to the floor...motor prob works, switch is diff etc...

Welcome back hadafew! Since you said its for a bucket seat in a Toronado it will have parts that interchange at least. The Toro buckets were the same seats, but as marxjunk said the floor mounting points are different between the two. Does it have the switch on the door panel, or is it on the the side of the seat base? The bench seats were 6 way, but since this is for a bucket seat is it just the 4 way like the A-body?
