Cutlass seats
Hello all,
I'm new to this forum, so please bear with me. I have a '70 Cutlass S, I picked up along with a '70 442. I'm in the process of parting what I don't need from the Cutlass. I have pulled the seats, the front is a split bench and is good for a core, I think, the back seat upper and lower are pretty crusty as well. I don't want to get rid of anything that is useable by somebody, but I can't store everything. Are these cores usable or am I wasting my time trying to find someone to use this stuff?
Any input is appreciated.
Thank you!
Rob

Crusty is OK as long as the springs aren't all rusted through, and even then new ones can be tied in to replace bad ones as long as the framework is solid as stated above. My car had a fairly nasty beak seat due to being left out in the rain with the top down (or no top) for an unknown number of years, and while rusty, the springs were structurally sound. Not pretty to look at but hey, I'm the only one who's ever seen it. New covers on top and it looks good as new.

Would someone give me an idea of what they are worth. As stated before, I don't have room to store them, but I'm not a big fan of simply dumping the things for which I have no use. I would like to sell them to someone who can use them.

A good rebuildable core bench seat could be sold for any where from $50.00-$150.00 if you wait for the right person. Your bench seat is on the rough looking side. I would think you might get $50.00 for it if you're patient? A good rear seat (upper & lower) sells for $50.00-$75.00 in my experience. I have several front bench & rear seat cores & might sell a set about once a year or so?
