Rubber floor mats

I just picked up some rubber floor mats for my 69 442 but I have a question. I noticed that they have a thin circle where the bright light switch is. Is the mat supposed to lay over the switch or should the hole be cut out so the switch goes through the mat?

I had carpeted mats in my 77 442 and they had a grommet to fit around the switch

The mat goes around the brights switch. Meaning the circle needs to be cut out if it isn't already.

The repro mats need the headlight dimmer switch hole to be cut out. You can use an exact knife or a proper size hole saw on your drill. This is the same thing with the repro trunk mats. They need the oval cut out for the Jack tie down

Repo black rubber mats with Oldsmobile embossed on them. Wish I could have found an set of red mats to match my interior.

Which vendor did you purchase from and are they heavy?

Year One. I only went with them because I had a discount. I originally was going to purchase from The Parts Place since they were cheaper but my discount made them the same price

They are decent weight but lighter than I expected. Overall I'm satisfied with them

They're pretty much all the same product sold by different vendors.

I've never seen a set up close, which is why I asked. My current mats that were pulled out of a used truck trade at work are starting to come apart.

Eric,
They are the same consistency and design as OEM. Only available in black as repros though. That would work well in your car. IMO they do smell a bit until they get aired out.

I like the old rubber ones with the racing flags crossed in a shield. Aftermarket period correct ones.
