How do I remove/tighten the console lock/latch? Mine is loose... Can it be re-keyed? Thx

If I remember correctly, there is a small Philips head screw that holds the lock housing against the lock cylinder, and the console wall is sandwiched between the two.

If you're not talking about the lock rattling around and actually want to close the gap between the lid and the console, you would need to bend the catch on the underside of the console lid. It's spring steel and therefore very stiff.

And yes, the lock cylinder can be re keyed similar to a door lock.

you can also buy new reproduction lock sets which provide match-keyed trunk, console and glove box locks. Purchased a set last year for about
$70-ish. Great way to keep things simple.
