68 2 door sedan rear seat different?

Looking at recovering the rear seat in my 68 f85 2 door post. In seat descriptions i see coupe and convertable but nothing about the 2 door sedan. Will the coupe seat covers work?

There are 3 seats for the '68-'72 cars. The post cars have the widest, non post coupes have the middle width, & convertibles are the narrowest.

Good to know, thank you...is the 4 door sedan the same rear seat cover as the 2 door post?

what catalog are you looking in at the seat descriptions?

that should be 70-72, not 68-72. Starting in 70, on the non F-85 2drs, the rear seat was narrower due to plastic arm rest bases which went all the way to the floor. 70 F-85s, along with all non convertible 68 and 69 had the rear seat which went the entire width, door panel to door panel (ie the "wider" rear seat).

so 68/69 have two rear seat widths. 70-72 have three rear set widths.

depending on which company you are looking for covers, you will have to call them and ask what series do they consider coupe. They may not even know or be just as confused.

There is always an upholstry shop, as I didn't think 68 F-85 interior was reproduced

Chris, thank you for the clarification about the 68 and 69 cars. You are way more knowledgeable about those years than I am.

Are you sure Chris? I think the 68 Supreme rear seat is narrower than the hardtop and the convertible seat is narrower than the Supreme

Mike is right the '68 & '69 Supremes use a narrower rear seat with the full armrests that go all the way to the floor, similar to a convert. Legendary's website shows Holiday & post coupes having the same rear seat covers. Your F85 has the wide rear seat with the small plastic armrest bases that attach to the side trim panels with 2 screws, if it has rear armrests at all. I can't remember if F85s came with rear armrests or they were an option. OPGI sells PUI covers,I don't know if they make the covers for F85s but Legendary does. The PUI covers for '68 442/Cutlass S which are different from your F85 absolutely suck!! They're way too flat. Legendary's stuff costs more but it's worth it!!

as for the 68/69 supreme, I think I've only seen one supreme interior rear seat shot. regardless, if the rear seat goes interior panel to interior panel with no armrest touching the floor in the way, then it's wider. The armrests which bolt to the rear interior panel do not affect seat width.

regardless of seat width, that's not the correct 68 F-85 seat pattern.

Right, there's at least three different widths for 68-69. I have a supreme and a convert and they're different. Then there's the 442/S.
