1968 Cutlass AM/FM Radio Installation

I intend to take out my AM radio and install an AM/FM radio on my A/C 1968 Cutlass. After looking under the dash I noticed the A/C duct behind the current radio provides mininum room to maneuver under the dash. What is the best and easiest procedures to take out the installed radio and reinstall the AM/FM replacement without creating a larger issue?

When I had the AM/FM radio rebuilt in my '69 with A/C, I removed the ducting first. It made the job so much easier. My '68 was simple - it doesn't have A/C!
