The front buckets in my '75 Salon won't recline (both sides.) The handle on the side is being lifted but it still won't release the seat to recline. I don't know if it matters, but the lift lever on the back of the seat to make it fold forward still works just fine. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Post pictures of the seats. I didn't know they installed reclining seats until 1976. I had them in my 76 Salon and personally they were CRAP. They were not designed with teeth to hold them, but more like a clutch system to grab and TRY to keep it from reclining. And to top it all off the pivot point was too high and it was uncomfortable to recline the seats anyway.

Looks like the same seats to me. My guess would be that somebody locked them in place because they wouldn't stay upright any more.

Must have been a Salon thing as my 75 Cutlass s had the swivel buckets.

I'm going to unbolt them next week and see if there is anything obviously wrong with them. It only really bugs the wife at the moment.

Yeah those look like the same seats.
