AARRRGHHH - Glove Box Hinge Install Issues

For doing a frame off, it's hilarirous how some big things go so easy (dash installation) then some little things seem to be such a hassle!!!

Is there a trick to lining up the hinge, glove box and the holes in the dash reinforcement to install the screws that hold the hinge to the dash? I've got to be missing something - this shouldnt be that hard. I'm about to try getting some kind of lighted mirror to stick in the glovebox so I can see what's going on.....

I really haven't worked on your year car, but I use short pointed things, like an icepick but shorter, to align things while I get a screw started. As I said, never worked on your particular car, I may not understand your question correctly. I use small screwdrivers from a precision set for this sometimes, I also have a short pic, an awl etc.
Best Luck

Install the top and side screws first then as stated ^ use a pick to line up center hole and start a screw in the left or right first, leaving pick in place to keep everything located. Its been awhile but I do remember this being a pain. Good luck

I've not installed one... yet. But when I've taken these apart I've removed the door first, then take the hinge off the dash. I'm not sure how your trying it but if you haven't tried it this way yet you might give it a try and see if its easier to line up the hinge.

It can help to use the witness marks from previous screw installations as a guide.
