1966 cutlass upper steering column bearing or bearing kit not tilt

I am having trouble finding the upper steering column bearing or bearing set for a 1966 Cutlass convertible non tilt column. Could you help.

The bearing is made into the turn signal and I haven't heard of a replacement being available separately.

I bought mine from fusick's.

As mentioned above, it was part of the turnsignal switch assembly, and not a separate part.

In doing research on this subject, (looking for one myself) I found conflicting info. It appears that there are 2 styles of this assembly, one with a plastic mount, and with an aluminum mount, like the one I just removed. The seller on eBay that has the aluminum one for sale says that the 2 are not interchangeable, that if yours is currently the aluminum base model, you need to replace it with that style. Of course, that style is more expensive. Anyone have the scoop on this?

2 styles

Yes that is correct. The two do not interchange.
