79 Olds

Just purchased a Olds Cutlass Calais that was for sale. Ive owned 9 AMC vehicles but always did like the Oldsmobile Sport Wheels. This car does have the Hurst Shifter - Exact Dash and gauges as in the Hurst I've seen. Same interior. Etc. etc. etc. Looks like it had been painted some years ago plain white. Does have a gold grill tho. I wouldn't know if this is real or not being an AMC enthusiast. Thanks.

Welcome! Pictures would be a good start but sounds right so far, it should have a 350 also.

The VIN on the car will tell you if it is a Hurst Olds. If the VIN begins with 3K47R9M it is a 79 HO. If it shows differently, it is not.

This Vin shows it was built in Georgia Not Michigan. I get that, but boy did somebody go to lengths lots of years ago to make a clone. It was painted not very well all white long time ago but even the square emblem on the front of the car is "black" - the fender braces are metric and the 3 olds badges are really old. Somebody went the extra mile.
