72 H/O. Whats she worth?
I am getting ready to sell my 1972 Hurst Olds and am reaching out too see what it is worth. There just are not that many comparable cars out there. It is one of 220 with the sunroof.
It was originally bought by a preacher in Tulsa, OK. I am the 4th owner. It was a daily driver until 2003 when I put it up on blocks in the garage shortly after an engine rebuild. It has 104K miles with about 3K after the engine rebuild. I have tons of maintenance history, inspections and original documentation including the Protect-O-Plate.
Check this link for pics, and descriptions on the pics.

Things to know: New battery, tires (from WalMart with receipt), plugs, spark wires and gas tank. All fluids have been flushed. She runs great. The car needs paint and rubber molding for sure. Slight rust in the normal spots. Sunroof works intermittently, I think it needs a relay. Ram Air needs flapper door, foam and the vacuum motor. I added a non-stock electric fan (it's hot here in South Texas). AC parts have never been in the car since I have owned it, but I have them. Wheels need 2 rings and 1 center cap. Slight fluid leak from tranny where the speedo cable joins up. Parking brake needs the cable that goes from the peddle thru the firewall.
Included will be new headliner, molded carpet, carpet underlayment, 3M stripe kit and floor mats from Brothers. Also, RC Hurst Olds, Die Cast Hurst Olds, 2 Johnny Lightings, and some coffee table talking items.
She is a good car that has taken a back seat to many other projects for too long. Time for her to move onto someone who can give her some TLC. What's she worth?
Thanks!

Unsurprisingly that broadcast card doesn't belong to this car Dan. Fisher Body #'s don't match up. Common for another car's card to be stuffed into them back then.

That car is a really solid restoration candidate - I like it. It's the kind of car that can be enjoyed as-is for a while first. Good luck with the sale.
Just a heads up that your 455 block is not the original unless you posted the wrong pics. Your car's VIN ends in ...217500, and the engine VIN stamp pad ends in ...39686.

A nicely restored numbers matching 1972 HO just sold in BC Canada a few weeks ago. No sunroof but a nice car. Asking price was $26500 Canadian which with today's exchang e rate is only $21000 USA. The car sold in less than a week.
The 1972 HO hardtops are very much undervalued and typically sell cheap. There are plenty of cars available with $40-45k asking prices but the do not sell.
Find an X code optioned 1972 HO and you really have something especially if it is a convertible.
