1969 hurst number 177

Just purchased car number 177 demmer 486 number plate number 417. This was a one owner car setting outside for 25 years. The good it is all numbers matching with great paper work. The bad all the panels are away rusted away. Need help on a donor car and a set of hurst rims thanks.

The hurst just arrived today in worst shape then thought. Not sure if you can save this one. Anyone try to restore a car in this condition, and save the body.

Are you taking it apart or did it come with the fenders off?

It's saveable and worth it as well. Just won't be a quick project. Keep the faith! And congrats!

Congrats! Nothing wrong with a rebody
IMHP. Just save the cowl tag.

David, (Lonestar), has a 70 W-30 that
has been rebodied and is beautiful.
Good luck with her, anymore pics?

here are some more pixs. I was thinking about a rebody due to cost and time but use the frame.

I'm one of those that feel a re-body is ok as well. Makes a ton of sense in this case

Anything can be saved, its a matter of desire ,$$$, time. Once the cowl is rusted away, it boils down to desire, and rarity. Is there enough cowl left to be structurally sound once patched? I've built a few cars like this, though all had saveable cowls That one looks gone from here. Once torn down youll get a better idea. Either way you decide is great as your working to put something that hasn't been on the road in some time, back out there. Best of luck, Very cool car! JMO
