1969 H/O Convertible @ MCACN today
Here are some pic's of the 1969 H/O Convertible as the MCACN show in Chicago today, well, outside Chicago in Rosemont, IL. Thank god for digital cameras as I would have gone broke using film....

Yep, was a great show.... For the upper shots, I have my camera on a tripod, extended it all the way keeping the legs together, put the camera on timer, clicked the shutter and hoisted it up above my head and waited for it to shoot. Just have to fiddle with the angle a bit, but with digital you can burn all you want until you get it right.

reminds me...
of WHY I am building a Clone.... ( who can afford one of the 2 or 3...)
Mine is having the 4 speed inside.... what a gorgeous car, I noticed the wheels were painted the same gold as the stripes very nice.. but not like the production vehicles.. I dig the paint on the top, but do you think it is paint or dye? impressive.....

Only thing that would make it better would be if Lin was on the platform hugging the shifter!
Can you imagine having someone doing what she did today on the back of the cars without all the OSHA safety harnesses tethered!

Much better looking after this resto than the last by the photos.
I hate to be critical and I'm sure they researched the heck out of stuff before they built it, but does the shifter ball look over-sized to anyone else? Most of the photos I have of the car and platform have the T-handle on it. The ones I have showing the white ball seem to show it being smaller (and a few show a 4 speed pattern on the ball). Any thoughts?
And oh yeah, definitely thanks for sharing and that must be one heck of a tripod you have!

She rode the platform on the back of the car, scantily dressed, promoting Hurst.
I think she actually owned the car for a time.
She may still own it, or at least one of the original H/O promo cars she rode if not this car.

I think that's Linda Vaughn, Miss Hurst of yesteryear.
