My friend owns one a low mileage car, with just about every option on it. It is fully restored and he's owned it for quite a few years. He had a second one that was pretty raunchy, off of a widow, and he found the original intake outside on the ground in the back of the garage.

Looking nice.... I've never seen any reliable numbers but I think the best guess is at least 1/3 +

If anyone owns one that was sold by Howell Olds in KY. I can provide a little history. It is probably missing the original block.

I met a guy that said his dad striped some of the H/O in 69. He said they offered to let him do the AMC Scramblers if he wanted to switch. So for a change he did the Scramblers. He has some information and has offered to share.

I know it might be generally frowned upon to bump a 3 year old thread, but I am hoping some of you are still subscribed to this and will see this via email.

I am looking for car #355. I have the transmission from that car in the W30 now in my garage. The VIN is 344879M363895

Please reach out to your friends and let them know if they don't have their original transmission, I might be the one to talk to.

Pictures of VIN derivative, OH tag, etc below:

In this case I think it's a pretty noble cause.

No hits yet, but I am just hoping that it could somehow work out. I know if I had that H/O I would probably faint for the first time in my life if I found out someone had the original trans for it.

I saw someone post that they had DMV access on here. Is it possible that they can run the VIN on the car, or does it have to be related to a transaction that they are involved in?

I did post on their facebook page. Nothing. Someone had said about putting an ad in a publication, but I never did do that.

I know of 2 in the Texas panhandle, one is pristine the other is lets say a survivor. I have pictures of it, very dirty, it runs, mice living in the air cleaner and probably all in the car too. No rust to speak of, dent in the drivers fender, paint looked ok but it was so dirty it was hard to tell. Its all there, the guy said he drives it about once a year.
I also have a friend who claims to have had one years ago. He said the guy he sold it to wrapped it around a telephone pole. No idea what may have happened to the drive train or other parts from it.
