Internet appraisal

Could you possibly provide less information?

If you want a value estimate perhaps describe the cars' current mechanical and cosmetic condition and its originality along with options on the car.

A 1972 pace car is the holy grail of barnfinds? Um... I don't think so

The holy grail of barn finds is a Dusenberg, a boat-tailed Auburn, or a Bugatti, or maybe a Ferrari GTO.

I miss when folks were in the hobby for the hobby and the first question was not "wat's it worth?" (sic). Too many flippers.

Really, so what "all" numbers actually match? There are only three VIN derivative stamps on the car that MATCH the VIN: the engine block, the trans case, and the frame. Obviously nothing on the engine matches. Have you checked the rest?

Sounds like there may not be a matching transmission number either.

I didn't see your other thread that Joe had merged. If the owner wants $12.5k that seems high. Hopefully it's pristine and has all of the original parts so you can ditch that 403 smog engine.

Amen. People need to spend more time in the garage and less time watching Barrett Jackson on cable.

Sounds like one pace car missing original motor and one parts car.
Numbers all match numbers seen in the alphabet.
12500.00 sounds too high if ones a part car and ones an " all the parts are there car".
Titles clear?
Either one drive or even run?
any documentation to prove pace car?

Just checked with Barrett J

so far they got:

1 pace car missing it's pacemaker with numbers matching the alphabet.
1 parts car

what they need for a value estimate:

documentation?
title work?
was it really found in a barn?
color of the barn?
weight of car before and after washing ( for dust accumulation factor).
Day of week it will auction( for alcohol consumption factor of buyers).

Seriously, Gonna need pictures.
Hope it works out.

Along with some English and something close to proper punctuation....jeez.
We need clear concise info here in order to provide proper info. Trying to interpret the hieroglyphics significantly delays this.

Looks like a combination of autocorrect and my nemesis, pudgy finger on small phone syndrome. It took me two days to realize that "The crime n all brute work r dent n scratch free" wasn't "The criminals brute work and rodent free". "The chrome and all bright work are dent and scratch free..." Kinda like when someone types a lot and never presses enter. Like now.

When I read "holy grail" in the Olds world, I expected a 66 W30.

You would...

I'd expect something like the 1954 F-88, or one of the 69 H/O converts, or an Aerotech, or a W-43 engine, or one of the CroSal CanAm cars with the aluminum 455...

Should I go on?

Seeing as how the Holy Grail is a mythical object, I have been waiting for the usual thing that happens when someone thinks he's found it (and it turns out to be a Supreme with some rattle-can stripes):
