Steering Knuckle Arm part #'s: '68 442
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm getting confused I've got a 1970 Master Parts Catalog, and I've checked the 1972 Parts Catalog at WAC. Both of these sources match each other for the parts (Group 6.103), but those numbers are different from the parts on the vehicle. The steering "arms" from the car are numbered 394568 and 394569. Could these be original 1968 part numbers that were superseded by the numbers shown in the two Catalogs? Or are these from a different GM brand, perhaps? Pic below. My guess is that 394568 is the RH side and 394569 is the LH side. Obviously this cannot be left to a guess, LOL! Can anyone tell me which numbers go to which side for certain?

It was a couple of things. Ultimately a "stare and compare" along with test fitting is what did the trick for me. Unfortunately I do not have any pics that show both the fitment and the part numbers. Below are a few pics showing the driver's side. Look closely, you can see how the steering arm is formed such that it "leans" in toward the center of the car at the top of the arc once mounted. It is not as obvious in the first pic, but you can see it well in the second and third pics.
Hope this is helpful!
