I am looking at an original trunk wing for a 1970 442. But as I consider this purchase I find myself asking, is an original part better than reproduction part. It has always been my opinion that original parts are always better. But I have seen some really nice repro parts lately and I even recently bought a bunch of repro parts from a fellow member of this site. And does using reproduction parts bring down the value of my car?

So, any thoughts?

As discussed in your other thread, the wing needs to be modified to fit a convert. Don't hack an original, please. There aren't any more originals being made.

No worries, I won't hack an original. Thanks for the input. The spoiler is located on the Houston Tx criagslist under parts.
