LANSING MICHIGAN = "Home of Oldsmobile" (Headquarters)
08 B = (body production date) August 2nd week (1963)
STYLE 64 = (model year) 1964
3 = (car make) Oldsmobile
2 = (car series) F85 Cutlass
37 = (body type) 2 door hardtop
BODY LA = Fisher Body - Lansing, MI (body built by)
282 = body sequence number, 282nd 2 door hardtop
PAINT C-C = "provincial white" (upper & lower body paint color)
TRIM 963 = blue bucket seat interior
ACC 2X = (most probably simply an indication of AUTOMATIC transmission)

I believe this to be correct, but I'm not 100% sure about some of the '64 codes. Does this appear to be accurate??

Got pics? Can you share the VIN#? 824M001xxx ???

can you recognize factory interior blue colour?is something between lightblue-silver mettalic...(for sure color has a specific name?)actually-is it possible to find the same colour leather/vynil in USA??how much colours factory have for a 64 olds interior?
I'm located on the other side of the world,so find the right colour here is impossible...some company ,any suggestion?dont want to buy kit..just want to recover bad places..change the whole interior with a new different colour is a last option..hope someone got some idea..
best regards

VIN's were almost worthless in those days in terms of telling you something you didn't already know.

8 = 8-cylinder engine
2 = series (F-85 Cutlass)
4 = model year (1964)
M = assembly plant (Lansing)

005014 = production sequence number at the Lansing plant. This is a VERY low number and is consistent with the August '63 build date on the cowl tag. This had to be one of the first Cutlasses produced for the 1964 model year.

No, not power windows for any year. Floor shift auto as hurst68olds says.

You shouldn't get mad. The internet isn't a perfect source.

Wild About Cars does have several 1964 Olds brochures, as you've apparently discovered.

Another site you might try is The Old Car Manual Project. There's a nifty 1964 Dealer Specs book there. I didn't look through it to see what it says about interior options on the Cutlasses.

Yes. He said column 2. An X in column 2 is not power windows for any year. Try focusing your eyes instead of rolling them.

At least I am trying to help this guy and not send him to another site altogether, where he clearly did not find what he was seeking. I will roll my eyes if I please, your statement was "no X did not mean power windows in any year " and you did not state column 2. So roll that with whatever else you may be smoking.

Since the 2 door hardtop was only available as a Cutlass for '64 (36,153 built) .....
this Cutlass would be aproximately the 282nd Cutlass 2 door hardtop built at Lansing for the 1964 model year.

That shade of blue for the interior was used for a few years and was simply called 'blue.' The didn't have fancy names for the interior colors like they did for the exterior colors. I would recommend contacting SMS - http://www.smsautofabrics.com/. If you provide them with the information that you provided to us above, they can send you samples of what they have available. As far as I know they deal internationally.

Ledgendary Auto Interiors appears to have the seat covers in blue:

http://www.legendaryautointeriors.co...UE/detail.html

They suggest requesting a sample - 325G ('64-'66 metallic blue)

$381 bucket seats AA64GUD0010325G
$224 rear seat AA64GUD0040325G

The decode information I have says group 2 'X' is auto trans, should be followed by 'G' for console.

I've been thinking about that '2X' - maybe it's '2K' - does the car have air conditioning?
