Car starts by dash electronics are dead
I have an intermittent problem on my '66 442 whereby the car will start, but all of the dash electronics are dead (lights, turn signals, heater blower, radio). I can shut the car off, start it up again and everything is fine. More and more however I am having to start it multiple times before everything works.
I was suspecting it might be a faulty ignition switch, but I'm just guessing. Before I replace it I thought I would run it by this Forum.
Any thoughts?
Thank you

well I was thinking the same thing at least with the 66 it should b easy with a dash mounted switch . Should be able to do a quick test and not even pull the old one. Very nice looking car who ever took the photo did it justice .

Is it just on switch controlled stuff? The ignition switch has nothing to do with the dash lighting.
If it's also on the running lights, it's either a loose connection at the underhood junction block/horn relay or a bad connection in the firewall plug.
Don't be surprised if you find some melted wires on that ignition switch plug.
