Truck owners blocking Tesla Superchargers

OK, so besides the fact that these truck owners are proving that they are ********, they are also too stupid to realize that they are hurting themselves. The more people who drive electric cars, the more oil left for the rest of us. More to the point, as oil demand goes down, so does price. Please buy more electric cars. Now if we could only get the gas tax changed to a mileage-based system so electric car owners paid their fair share of road maintenance.

Keep an eye on the West Coast Joe. There's been a lot of talk about the mileage based tax here in Oregon. I suspect California and Washington state are not far behind on that either. I have mixed feelings about it, but agree with your point that it would make the electric car owners pay into the road fees.

Some people just don't have manners. You can bet that roads and bridges cost money to build and maintain. EV's won't get a free ride on our roads and bridges forever.

Our world is constantly changing and not much has ever been good. Keep that in mind as we slowly destroy ourselves and the earth we live on. This is just one more example of many you see and hear everyday.....

Yeah, I've read about that but it would work only with vehicles that have onboard GPS or other systems for logging the miles driven between fillup because the pump has to communicate with the vehicle to determine the amount of tax. And I don't recall if that fee was instead of the fuel tax or in addition to it.
