new front disk rotors | bearing races pre installed

So I just bought new rotors for my 72 disk conversion...I also got the needed inner/outer bearings...question is, do I use the races in the new rotors...or knock them out and use the races that came with the bearings ??

I put new front rotors and pads on my 72 so if you don't mind, can I offer some tips?
1. Don't forget to pack the new bearings with grease.
2. When you install the new wheel seals, there should be a small lip on the inside of the bore on the rotor where the seal goes. The seal will not go past that lip. You will know when it's fully seated on that lip when the outer face of the seal is just below the face of the bore on the rotor.
3. Make sure to install the new seals straight. If you don't have an installation tool, you can use a block of wood and lay it over the seal. Tap the wood with a hammer until the seal is fully seated.
4. When you tighten the bearing nut, use the CSM for proper torque sequence.

Good luck, and if you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Dave😀

I've never bothered to change out the races in new rotors. Yeah, I'm lazy. Never had a bearing problem in nearly half a century of driving these cars.

It is going really well. Bearings went in with ease... Replacing brake lines now but the original distribution block lines are rusted at the threads, didn’t want to break free...they are soaking now with PB blaster sprayed on them...will try tomorrow after work
