No padding. OR what you can do is make it into a two tone paint job. That was also a factory option using the same roof trim. Only major difference is no problems with rusting under the vinyl. That being said I do like the look of vinyl tops. They are expensive, no to buy, but to install. It also requires you to take out the interior rear trim so the moldings can come off to do a proper job.

Here's some followup info for you about the 69 442. The first one shows the recommended color choices for two tone paint. The second one is the SPECS listing showing the 442 standard features and RPO's.
