remove a grease fitting from lower ball joint

Hi Everyone Question: Can anyone tell me how to remove a grease fitting from the lower ball joint? I tried an easy out but the fitting keeps turning I don't want to replace the ball joint if I don't have to. I have no Idea how the end was broke off. Any help would be greatly appreciated and keep on cruising.

Some replacement grease fittings were " pound in "and not threaded. My bet is someone installed one of these somewhere along the road. I would take a pair of vice grips and get a good grip and try to pull or pry it out.

If the easy out keeps turning the fitting at least it has a grip? Can you get something on the end of the easy out and tug on and pull it out? What year of car? I never heard of a pressed fitting zerk fitting-must be a pre-64 sweetie at least??

"Pressed in" grease zerks have been around for years ! It costs more to drill and tap threads. Use a slidehammer arrangement to pull the zerk out.
