72 Cutlass disc/drum Master cylinder
Hi all !
So newest project is new front end rebuild and disc brake conversion. Firstly thanks to all that pointed out that my existing master cylinder is a corvette unit ! So now to parts numbers. I met A guy last night with all original brake components with a front disc rear drum Master cylinder and 11" booster. I was able to get the number off the master cylinder # 8470408 1 1/2 *047
Through cross reference I found an AC Delco 18m76. This does not have the bleeders above the lines. But it would be correct for my 72 Cutlass appearance wise. But I would like to have a Cylinder that would have the bleeders above the line for ease of maintenance. Can anyone supply me with a period correct Master cylinder with the bleeders in an AC Delco unit?

You have two choices that I know of...
Buy a used, original master cylinder and have it sleeved.
Buy a correct reproduction (not made by Delco) from a supplier such as Fusick Automotive. This will cost around $100 and will have correct appearance including bleeder screws. These are licensed reproductions. The only thing that I know is missing is the two-letter code stamp on the forward pad.
