Number stamped on Starter mount?

72 CS. 350 4 bbl. TH350.

Recently removed the starter, and I see a number stamped on the trans Starter mount. The number is 4868. What does it signify?

Also, the trans code is 72 LA21 N. What does the 21 and the N signify?

Ok, found the rest of the trans code: 21 = day of the year, and N = night shift.
FYI.

Still haven't found what the number stamped on the starter mount means.
