I've seen hinges like yours on a few '68s, including my own '68 442. The thing that's confusing is that the service manual clearly shows '68s(A,B &C bodies all use the same hinge for '68) using 3 bolts on each hinge to the underside of the hood plus a little spacer that goes on the rear bolt, yours only have 2 like mine. My hood has the 3 holes on each side, like every '68 hood I've seen. I was told by someone else that they might be off a Pontiac??, Mine fit fine but I'm thinking of modifying them by squaring up the rounded end with a little welding & adding the 3rd slotted hole. I found a pic online of a pair of '68 hinges, you can see the 3rd slotted hole at the rear. I've never found anything about maybe a 1st or 2nd design on '68 hinges? My 442 is a Nov 67 Lansing car.

Early 68's only have two holes. The rear hole with the spacer was an early assembly manual change

Thx Mike,

I wonder if they are interchangeable with Pontiacs? because that seems to come up. The pic looks just like them.

They might be. The GTO/LeMans seems to use a two hole (in the fender) hinge from 68-72. It looks like there’s only two holes on the hood though.

They’re $77 each from Ames Performance (without springs) which is still more than you can buy a used set of 68 Olds hinges for.
