Proper way to measure driveshaft

Car is in pieces and I have a source to look for a driveshaft. 1970 442 w-30 4spd When I pick thru the pile what is the length driveshaft I am looking for and what is the proper way to measure? Would the length be from center of U-joint to center of U-joint. Anything special about the yoke? (how many teeth etc...)
Thank You

Here is one example, if you were to buy a driveshaft from Denny's Driveshaft.

Wow, that Denny's process seems complex.

It's hard to "measure" without the car assembled. If this is an otherwise stock 4spd A-body 2dr with a Type O, others can likely provide a dimension. The easy way to measure once the car is assembled is as follows:

1) Have car at ride height.

2) Insert front yoke into trans. Push it all the way in. Pull out 3/4" to 1".

3) Measure center-to-center from the front yoke u-joint trunnion to the pinion flange u-joint trunnion.

That's the dimension.

I don't know if this will help or hurt Scrappy. I pulled this unit along with a 455
and Muncie 4 speed out of a 72 442 that had burned down. The overall drive shaft length is 57". Center to Center on the UJ's is 56 1/4". Also a shot of the yoke. The splines on the yoke are the same as the TH 350's.
