67 Cutlass Convertible Top Measurement

Could someone with a 67 Cutlass Conv. give me the measurement between the trim on the upper deck panel in the center, to the top moulding at the rear top bow above the rear window. Necessary as the old top was already removed, and this measurement is crucial for new top install. Also, any tricks on top installation is appreciated. I feel with the help of manuals and video, and my experience doing everything else, I can handle this. Dad always said if you are gonna only do one, pay someone to do it. If you are gonna do more, learn to do it yourself. And I have 3 convertibles! Plus, no top installers in this town will give me the time of day. Car is too old for them to mess with.
Thanks.

My 67 Cutlass is 21 and 1/2 inch exactly, leading edge of well molding to trailing edge of rear top bow.
I bought a crappy Pontiac Sunturd convertible to practice top installation on. It turned out pretty well but was a real pain, in my back mostly. I planned to do my 67 Cutlass top but landed an unexpected film job that paid well enough that I had a local trim shop do my top. I had already cleaned and painted the top frame, replaced the rusty front bow and made sure the top motor and top cylinders operated properly after replacing them. I also made sure to supply new cables and a good tack strip around the well liner/rear top edge and a complete new weatherstrip kit for the top frame. They supplied the top, rear window and the pads. After seeing everything involved, I'm glad I had it done. ( I watched more than a few how to videos and thought I could do it but knew it was going to be a chore) It turned out really nice but I had to do the walk around and point out 2 or 3 things I wasn't 100% pleased with and they got it all taken care of before I paid. I watched the installer some of the time during install and again while he addressed my concerns. He knew all the tricks and it was still a lot of work. Good luck with your three.

Thanks for that. I actually got a call back from one of the shops I had contacted and set up an appointment. I've got so much work in this car, I am hesitant to do my first top here. Plus I bought the nice Stayfast top cause it was all I could find in dark blue. I have a 65 Buick Special daily driver that I will try myself, and a 63 Corvair after that if I keep it.
