what finish were the original colour for the seat tracks, I am removing mine. Should they be blasted. How do you take apart tracks

They were bare steel & just the ends were dusted with black paint where they bolt to the floor. I put up a pic of when I had my drivers seat apart to fix the broken side springs. The car still has it's original interior(except carpet)& all the bare steel parts on the seat frames & track are still in great shape with hardly any surface rust. You can still see some black paint on the ends of the tracks,no masking they just blew on some paint.
