Need help decoding a 64 cutlass body vin

Need help decoding a 64 cutlass body vin

The website I saw to decode this only showed Chevy cars. Any help would be appreciated!!

VINs back then don't tell you anything you can't tell by just looking at the car except where assembled.

8 = 8-cylinder engine
2 = Cutlass series
4 = 1964 model year
M = Lansing assembly plant

The rest of it is the production serial number at that plant.


Post a clear photo of the cowl tag. It will possibly have codes that will tell you more about the car.
