Exhaust system question

Hello and thank you for taking time to read this. I have a 1969 Cutlass convertible that is getting a 455 ( 1973 smog heads ) engine swap. I intend to use Hedman headers, my question is to those with the prior experience, whose dual exhaust, with an X cross over, would be recommended?

thank you!

While I have yet to install mine (progress is slow), I bought my system by Pypes, after reading several reviews here and elsewhere. I got the set on sale at JEGS.

I used "Magnaflow" sys. fit was great, everything went in, no problems. My kit came with mufflers, of which I hate. Going to put "Dynamax" muffs soon.

Thanks guys, I'll check them out, kinda want a sleeper, not loud, something that will surprise folks when I pull away from a stoplight.

Don't forget, the X pipe gives the car a European sound vs a muscular deep tone. I prefer the H pipe configuration myself.

Thanks z11375ss, I should try to find some examples on youtube comparing, I thought the X pipe would be most efficient, not wanting a european sound...

This thread is over two years old and the OP hasn't been back since July 2016. I hope he got his exhaust worked out by now...
