What kind of fluid do I use 67 conv. top pistons?

What kind of fluid do I use 67 conv. top pistons?
Top is stopping half way up.Does anyone know what kind of fluid(brake,transmission) to use for refill?

Most likely, Dexron ATF like for the early 70's models. Check the fluid color first - pink would be ATF.

My 1970 Fisher Body Service Manual calls for Type "A" or Dextron transmission fluid or equivalent in the Hydro-Lectric power top operating assembly.

The other fluid they used was brake fluid, match up your fluids or you will have a problem......Tedd

Understand if your use brake fluid and have a leak, it will destroy any paint it gets on quickly.
