Supercharger

Hi everyone.

Who knows anything about the superchargers that came on the 88 in the late 90s early 2000s? What I specifically want to know is if the motor suddenly stops turning, like it locks up or something, will that harm the supercharger at all or will the serpentine belt take the brunt of the sudden deceleration?

Thanks.

not an expert by any stretch, but i don't think it would harm the s/c if the engine suddenly stopped.....unless the engine oil was contaminated before the stopage with metal filings or debris. the oil goes thru the s/c too.
